A note from the Author
Have you ever had a severe allergic reaction to something you ate? It's frightening.
My daughter, Logan, has an anaphylactic allergy to nuts. During her toddler years, my biggest fear was that she would unknowingly eat a snack, dessert, or anything that had nuts in it. After one visit to the emergency room and near-death experience, my husband and I knew we had to train our baby girl to identify nuts in her food on her own.
Are There Nuts in That? was created to teach young toddlers how to proactively ask if there are nuts in their food, and raise allergy awareness to those around them.
I hope this is a helpful resource for parents to equip their little ones better, to avoid having to administer that overstocked EpiPen, to prevent a dreadful trip to the ER. Allergies are a tough nut to crack!
